Dining Furniture Makeover Part 1: The Chairs

I’m in the process of clearing out the old and bringing in the new. I gave a bunch of furniture and other things that had been lying around the house to my mom and brought in a new dining table that would better fit the space. The style of the old table was perfect for the style of the house, but the shape and size just didn’t work at all!  The new table and chairs isn’t exactly what I would pick, but it fits the space much better and will work as a temporary fix, but it definitely needed some paint.

Here’s what the chairs looked like before:

I used Valspar Project Paint in gloss to paint the table and chairs. Usually I don’t use gloss on furniture, but considering the rough nature that my household tends to have around furniture, I felt like the gloss paint would be the most durable and would be able to withstand all the bumps and rough housing that would occur. It is also very easy to clean!

Here’s what the chairs looked like after...

I painted the wicker seat for now, but eventually I want to make cushioned seat covers for all the chairs.

Stay tuned for the table makeover/ reveal!
