THE SHIPLAP WALL IN THE BATHROOM & THE BATHROOM MAKEOVER: PART 2

In my previous post I had finished installing the Shiplap in the Bathroom. All that was left was adding some trim & finishing pieces and painting the wall. I started by painting the wall Sherwin Williams Oxford White. I used a paint brush to paint along the ridges first and then took a small roller to paint the rest.

I have been wanting to add shiplap to a room in the house for so long & now I've finally done it!! Back when we tore the faux brick wall down and replaced it with drywall in the basement we had to tear down the paneling in the bathroom too since the bathroom was put in after the basement was finished. They decided to have the brick paneling run behind the the dividing wall, so when the faux brick came down in the bedroom it also pulled the bathroom paneling down too. Long story short, the bathroom wall was now down a little paneling and a lot of studs.

I've posted way to many posts of this dresser & all of the makeovers it has undergone, but for some reason I just felt like I could never get it right! So I decided to try one more time. Here's a look at some of the previous makeovers this dresser has had over the years.

Replacing the Faux Brick Wall with Dry Wall

The current project I just finished working on has felt like the never ending project. That is mainly because it was so messy! It was totally worth it though! When I moved into this house back in 2014, the basement bedroom was probably the WORST room in the entire house. It had nasty blue carpet, which was covered in mud and grime from traffic through the sliding glass door, and there was an awful faux brick accent wall along the main focal wall of the room. 

Vinyl Plank Flooring in the Entry Room

Replacing the nasty floors in the entry room has been on my to-do list for a while, but it always seemed too big and expensive of a task so I just kept putting it off. I finally decided to bite the bullet and just tackle the project. I had heard about how durable vinyl plank flooring was and how easy it was to install and I thought what I'd give it a try. I picked up SMARTCORE by Natural Floors Stillwater Oak Locking Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring from Lowes and went for it! ​
